HATS Off

About

Description:

Since 1981 Michigan has had thousands of middle school students participating in the SAT and ACT testing through academic talent searches. HATS Off honors the top 200 scoring students who are in grades 6, 7, 8 and who took the SAT or ACT during the current school year. During the program, we salute each student and encourage you and your parents to attend.

The top 200 high achieving students are invited by letter in April. Since 2001, more than 1000 parents and students have attended each year. The students are also given the opportunity to write tributes to teachers who have particularly supported and encouraged their talents.

Please note: Only students who test before March 2013 are eligible for CTD, state or local award ceremonies for HATS Off 2013.

PLEASE NOTE:  STUDENT RESPONSE FORMS WILL NEED TO BE EMAILED, FAXED OR MAILED TO THE MSU GATE OFFICE BY FRIDAY, MAY 3, 2013 FOR THE STUDENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HATS Off CEREMONY.

Teacher Tribute Forms can be found under the downloads tab. All other forms will be included in the invitation mailing.

PLEASE EMAIL TEACHER TRIBUTES.

TEACHER TRIBUTES MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 29, 2013 TO ALLOW TIME FOR THE GATE OFFICE TO PROCESS THE TEACHER INVITES AND COORDINATE TEACHER GIFTS.
