AP Literature Prep Course
Michigan State University’s GATE office is offering an AP Literature test prep course for current high school students taught by MSU faculty member, and ISHALL instructor, Dr. James Davis.
Dr. Davis will help students enhance their understanding of literary concepts that appear on the AP Lit test including: imagery, tone, audience, voice, structure, and diction. Additionally, students will learn how to compose analytical and precise essay responses.
Classes will be held face-to-face, with other assignments and activities being completed online using MSU’s D2L interactive course management software. Please direct any questions to the GATE office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 517-432-2129.

Payment is due in full upon registration. The registration deadline is Tuesday, December 19. Notice of withdrawal from the program must be given by December 19 via email to email@example.com. No refunds will be given after this date.
Participation in this course or any GATE program does not guarantee improvement on tests or assessments. Parents are responsible for signing up students for the AP test at their home school and paying the test fee. AP Exams are held in early May. See apstudent.collegeboard.org for more AP Test information. If classes do not enroll a minimum number of students, families will be notified, fees refunded, and the class will be canceled.
