Please Note:

GATE programming follows the MSU calendar where possible. However, due to the nature of pre-college programming and ensuring our students receive the required number of instruction hours, GATE programs may (and often do) deviate from the MSU schedule, particularly where it pertains to campus/holiday breaks and semester extensions. The MSU campus breaks do not always align with GATE program needs. Please refer to the official GATE program schedule below for dates. Reasons for unannounced changes include, but are not limited to: weather, facility, or other unforeseen issues. 

GATE reserves the right to amend program dates and calendars without notice based on program needs. Please see your student's syllabus for cohort specific deadlines and other dates of note. 

Where alternate instruction is indicated, students will not meet during their standard class time or location. Rather, students will have online, self-paced, asynchronous instruction, recorded lecture, or other activities provided by the instructor. Students may have work due during breaks and should check the syllabus and D2L for more information.

Cohort refers to your student’s specific class (IE: CHAMP 1 is a cohort; CHAMP 2 is a cohort, etc.). Dates apply to all of that program's cohorts unless otherwise indicated.
