Are you drawn to the world of law and justice? Advocate U offers aspiring legal minds an immersive introduction to the courtroom and beyond. Throughout this one-week program, participants will explore the foundations of the legal system—from understanding the purpose of trials to mastering the art of advocacy. Students will take on the roles of attorney, judge, witness, and juror as they examine the structure of criminal and civil trials, craft case theories, and practice essential trial skills, including opening statements, direct and cross-examination of witnesses, objections, and closing arguments.

Through engaging, hands-on lessons and mock trial simulations, students will develop critical thinking, public speaking, and analytical skills that reflect real-world legal practice. Participants will also analyze landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases, debate contemporary legal issues, gain insight into diverse legal specialties, and explore pathways to a successful legal career.

Pre-Med ED

Dates: July 6-10, 2026

Are you interested in going into the medical sciences? Does becoming a doctor, nurse or pharmacist sound fascinating to you? If so, then Pre-Med ED is perfect for you! The purpose of this program is to foster an interest in the STEM fields, specifically the medical sciences and to create awareness of college admission, and generate a strategy to become a successful health care professional. As participants, students will discover the content of medical courses through demonstrations and hands-on activities, explore the options for undergraduate and professional majors, and gain information about medical specialties. Students will be learning and participating in hands-on activities that include working with emergency medical technicians, pharmacology, physiology and much more.
