Intensive Studies for Gifted and Talented (IS4GT)

Grades vary by program: 7-11

PROGRAM DATES: June 17-21, 2019 or June 24-28, 2019

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Extended to May 28, 2019

Acceptance decisions will be made on a rolling basis. Apply early!

Students must submit the following with their IS4GT application:


New for summer of 2019, a one-week advanced program in a specific concentrated curriculum for gifted, IS4GT, Intensive Studies for Gifted and Talented. This option for 7th-11th grade students. Classes will focus on one main topic for the week: June 17-21, 2019 or the week of June 24-28, 2019.

Grades 7th-9th      Intensive Study in Forensic Science

Grades 8th-10th    Intensive Study in Number Theory (students must have completed Algebra 2 and geometry)

June 24-28, 2019

Grades 7th-9th      Intensive Study in PRE-MED ED

Grades 8th-11th    Intensive Study in Behavioral Mathematics in Artificial Intelligence

Grades 10th-11th Intensive Study in Lab Research in Microbiology


Program Schedule (tentative)


1:00-2:30 pm Registration at the residential hall
3:00-4:00 pm Orientation for students, parents, faculty, and staff

Monday - Friday

9:00 am-5:00 pm Classes held Monday - Friday

Friday evening

Around 5:00 pm Check-Out and Closing Ceremony
