Acceptance decisions will be made on a rolling basis. Apply early!

Students must submit the following with their IS4GT application:

  • Test scores (score of only one test)
    • ACT or SAT
    • CogAT
      • Register to take the CogAT with MSU GATE HERE
    • IQ Test
  • Teacher Recommendation Form from one of your teachers in a specific subject areas of : During your online application, you will be asked to provide a teacher's school email address, and we will send them an email requesting that they fill out an online recommendation for you. (Do NOT ask your teacher to write you a letter of recommendation - only our online recommendation form will be accepted.)

Description

An one-week advanced program in a specific concentrated curriculum for gifted, IS4GT, Intensive Studies for Gifted and Talented. This option for 6th-11th grade students. Classes will focus on one main topic for the week: June 21-25, 2021, June 28-July 2, 2021, July 12-16, 2021, or July 19-23, 2021

Grades 8th - 11th   PRE-LAW: LitiGATE, An Intensive Study in Prosecuting and Defending A Criminal Case   

July 12-16, 2021

Grades 6th - 9th  Intensive Study in Non-fiction v. Fiction Writing: Focus on Space and Place

Grades 7th - 10th  Intensive Study in Computer Art: Merging Programming and Creativity

Grades 9th - 11th  Intenisve Study in Sustainable Agriculture and Remote Sensing
