The GUPPY program has different curriculum for grades 3-4 and for grades 5-6. You can view the different topic “tracks” for each grade level on the GUPPY Curriculum pages. Apply early, programs fill quickly!

GUPPY Description

GUPPY is designed for young gifted and talented students to attend classes taught by MSU faculty and staff at Michigan State University for the week or weekend. This GATE program will offer young gifted students a variety of accelerated exploratory educational presentations and hands-on experiences.

GUPPY will have three classes pre track. Each class will be one hour long Monday-Friday or one hour and 40 minutes long Friday-Sunday.

Parent "U" Day

Parents, save the date! You are invited to attend GUPPY’s Parent University, which provides informational presentations conducted by gifted experts. Various topics related to gifted education and raising a gifted child will be discussed. The presentations will focus on introductory and intermediate topics. Past topics have included: Gifted 101, Roadmap to Advocacy, IQ Testing, Spatial Learners and an expert panel.
